As a principal in Oregon, Bryan got to attend the end-of-the-year conference in Seaside and we loved to join him there for the better part of a week. Now, we may have our Washington alternative in Chelan. Bryan had his AD conference and we went over a couple days early to celebrate the arrival of summer vacation.
It was mostly sunny and very windy. The kids were not deterred and we spent a lot of our time at the many beaches and pools of Campbell's Resort.
Aren't goggles part of building sand castles?
At what age does being covered in wet sand start to be uncomfortable? It's clearly not at 6 or 8!
We enjoyed dinner downtown and a fun river walk.
It was lovely!
We also got to cheer the Huskies on to their first ever berth at the NCAA CWS!
Our view was lovely.
We spent a chilly morning at SlideWaters and nearly had the park to ourselves! We got in lots of rides - and time in the hot tub!
We left BJ there to run the show (he's the incoming president, after all), and headed home via East Wenatchee where we got to visit with Aunt Phyllis. This puzzle was a doozie!
And thus, it's summertime!
