We survived Halloween!

Bryan helped the kids carve pumpkins (not his favorite task).

They were less grossed out by the guts this year.

Mitch dressed as Flash!

And Shannon was a Super Star Girl.

They were delighted to go trick-or-treating downtown with Amy and her kiddos. We beat the crazy hoards, too, so it was less painful than my memory of last year. Whew!

Happy Halloween!

5K for 8K

I did it - ran a 5K for fun! It's been 12 years since I tried that (and this time was MUCH better!).

We ran through the poplars at the Boardman tree farm and it was beautiful.

Who knew running could be fun?

A Bit of October

The kids have had lots of friends over lately, including some from daycare. They are thrilled to have them at their house and play really well. In fact, everything goes smoothly...until the friends leave. Then it's time for epic meltdowns. We're working on it!

Today Mitchell's class had their first field trip of the year. They went to the pumpkin patch, of course. Mitch and Cooper are pals.

Bryan went along as a chaperone and helped MBJ pick out the perfect pumpkin.
