End of May

May ended by closing some big chapters.
Shannon finished preschool with a concert and ice cream social. In spite of her struggle with the start of this year, she finished as a happy, competent student!
This girl is ready for kindergarten!
We also finished up the Stanfield Tigers' baseball chapter. Mitch and Bryan went to a few of the state games and Mitch even got to reprise his batboy role. Those seniors and juniors were so good to him!
He had a great time at his last game, which was a win for Stanfield!
Ultimately the Tigers lost in the semifinals to the wretched (private) school that would go on to win the title. It was a heartbreaking finale, but Bryan and Mitchell watched their last win! So many memories of games at Madigan Field.

Mother's Day

We spent Mother's Day at Greenbluff this year, following a fun-filled Saturday with the Johnson-LaVine crew. We watched Cinderella at the Opera House and celebrated Haylee's 8th birthday. The cousins enjoyed romping together and no one slept much!
Tired mama and babies. Sunday Mitch was not feeling well as we drove to church. We made a stop at a fire station to use the bathroom and get a quick once-over. All was well and his tears and pain subsided. However, we were quite late to church by this time and opted to meet the crew at Hogues' place.
Checking out the goats is always a must.
Can you read that expression? It says, "I'll tolerate this photo, but I won't like it!" Gram made lovely caramels and mints.
These two so rarely take a photo together - which I was pleased to remedy! If you squint, you can see Chere' and Nao in the form of flowers and a card so it's really 4 generations!
Dessert shenanigans
The babies were asleep within 5 minutes of leaving Hogues' place.
"I'm not tired!" he asserted. His pink cheeks and 2.5 hour "nap" suggested otherwise...

Opening Day!

Saturday was Opening Day for Ephrata's little league!
Mitch and his team ran in, and the boys each tipped their hat when their name was called.
He is, of course number 7!
Shan is playing this year for the first time and she is also  number 7. There was much delight when they each got their jerseys.
After the ceremonies, each kiddo had a game. Mitchell had quite a cheering section!
He hit well
and ran the bases like a champ!
He made some good defensive plays, too.
Then the cheering section switched fields and watched Shannon's first game.
She, too, hit well and was happy to report that she never hit the tee while batting!
Concentration around the bases...
and mostly ready in the field.
It's going to be a busy month of baseball. Play ball!
