Thanks, Hillary!

Back to Work

Today was my first day back at school. It was really hard to go back, no doubt about it. However, I managed to keep it together (no tears once I was on campus!) and had a good day. Mitch did, too. His babysitter, Lorry, is wonderful. Apparently our little man did a major number on his outfit this morning. Lorry had it all washed and folded to come home. How great! My schedule this year is a dream for part-time work. I'm done each day at 1:30 and can come home. There will be minimal planning this year, too, since I've taught these classes before and won't have to design the curriculum.
So, 1 day down, 122 to go . . .

Top Dawg

Mitchell and Bryan are watching the Huskies play Oregon.
Not hard to see where Mitch's (Dad's) loyalties lie!

These cute shoes are from our friend and Bryan's
former UW teammate, Tila. Pretty stylish!

What are they planning?

Bath Time

Mitch loves taking baths, which is good because he gets himself dirty even now when he's not able to roll around in dirt.
Here he is trying to fit both fists in his mouth pre-bath. Bryan loves it when he tries to eat his fists. I wince a little because it means he thinks it's time to eat!

Rub adub dub, one boy in the suds.

And the finished product - a cozy frog!

A Trip to the Doctor

Mitch had his 2 month well baby appointment yesterday. He was a good little patient in spite of 3 vaccine shots. Apparently the child before him had bitten the nurse! The doctor charted his height and weight and told me he's above the 95th percentile for both. Yowza. He weighed in at 15 lbs and is 25 1/4 inches long. I think his cheeks alone account for 1 lb!

Here he is on our walk this morning, representing
Russ and Laci's WOU Wolves.

Homecoming Week

Bryan is making up for being "too cool" during his high school days. Now he dresses up for Homecoming Week and has the most spirit on staff! Below are some of our favorite costumes.

Here he is as Coach Sarkisian for Costume Day.

Clash from the Past Day took Bryan to 500 B.C.

Last year's most heralded rockstar - Razor.

Crazy Johnson Men

The resemblances are uncanny!

Diaper Duty

Uncle Russ was determined not to change the diaper of any baby other than his own someday. His crafty wife, Laci, derailed that plan. As you can see, it was not a favorite activity this weekend.

However, neither Mitch or Russ seemed to hold the changing episode against one another.

The Greats

Mitchell went north this weekend, visiting great grandparents and a great-great aunt in Wenatchee and Ephrata. He was a big hit and so were they!

Here's Great Grandma McMaster feeding a squirmy boy.

Two Months Old!

Mitch is 2 months old today! He celebrated by spending the morning at daycare for the first time. His mom was nervous, but it went smoothly. As he gets older, Mitch looks more and more like his dad, which is evident in the photo below. Handsome little bugger!

A Crowd Pleaser

Our happy boy is grinning for what will be his first of many appearances here. He will be 2 months old on Tuesday. As his shirt suggests, he is a moose, weighing in at over 14 lbs!
