Techno Geek

Mitch loves to bang away at a keyboard, pull on a mouse, steal cell phones, turn on the dvd player, and play with all the little techno gadgets that are part of our world.
In an effort to get some work done, we've set up a decoy for his amusement. It will only be interesting if we periodically "work" from it or try to get him to leave it alone.

Up, Up and Away!

We got up early this morning and headed up to the Prosser Balloon Rally. Yesterday there were dozens of balloons, clear blue skies, and fabulous views. Today, we had a strong breeze and rain. So, we saw four balloons lift off and got to enjoy a breakfast visit with the Staggs. Not a bad trade-off! Jolene, LindyJean, Mitch and me.

These are filling up. It was loud as their "hot air" jets got going.

Filled and ready for liftoff.

And they're off!

We'll try again next year!

Dare to Bare the Derriere

When you've got it, you flaunt it.
Traffic stops, crowds part, and the neighbors get out their lawn chairs for this show!

Please

Mitch is learning to sign. So far, he can say "Please" with gusto.
We're totally charmed and give in to each demand, er, request.
Cornbread, please!

A momentary pause to eat and then,

he's off again with a mouthful of crumbs!

First Haircut

Here's Mitch this morning.
Long bangs, curls over his ears - this is before.
Bryan took Mitch to the Stylin' Nook where he got his first hair cut.

He was not the model customer, but April was patient.

After a few short minutes, our little long-haired hippy has a
respectable little boy hair cut.
His daddy's so happy!

Here's the after shot. Note the celebratory peanut butter.

A Hard Day's Night

Who knew it was such hard work eating dinner?
The initial snooze . . .

. . . followed by the slump.

Yep, that's my baby sleeping beside the toilet.
It was too much work to stand and watch the tub fill.

He did manage to stay awake for the bath, but it was seriously subdued.
Ah, the difficulty of infancy!

Fun at the Park

Mitchell, Bryan and I went to the park
this afternoon and it was a big hit!
Not a bad way to usher in the 13-month mark!
His preferred method of going down the slide.

Woohoo!

Faces at his Pop.

Here he goes . . .
For more photos of fun with his cousins this past weekend, check out Kim's site.
