A Visit to Greenbluff

Sue and Steve invited us up to the Bluff for the Cherry Pickers Trot. I hadn't done it since 2006 and was happy to have an excuse for a Spokane visit!
The kiddos did the Tot Trot beforehand. Both were focused in their age groups and earned a ribbon. Afterward, Shannon confessed, "I knocked a kid down". Yes, she did...
They also did the Pit Spit, along with their father. The copious amount of drooled cherry juice was impressive!
Sue and I did the 4 mile course in beautiful weather! We gathered at their home with other family for a post-race BBQ and the necessary (and delicious!) cherry pie.
During this visit, the kiddos were enthralled with Steve's insects. He found a long horned wood boring beetle that was fascinating and subsequently named Big Bad Bob the Biting Beetle. It has come home with us (in a jar of rubbing alcohol!).
The goats are always a highlight. Here, the kids help feed Miss Magoo the blind goat and her family.
The most exciting visit was to Shiloh and his barnmate Neut. SUCH an amazing cat. Beware, Poly...
Bedtime books with Aunt Sue
and Grama Sally are some of the best!
We capped the visit with a bit of work in the hay. It was a wonderful trip with special family!
