Seattle Saturday

What fools we were to undervalue the 3-day weekends at Stanfield! We thoroughly enjoyed our 3 days off this weekend and even squeezed in a road trip to Seattle for some Husky action!
The rain held off, but the wind was intense! We walked along the waterfront when we arrived.
We admired the Ferris wheel over the water, but didn't have time for it this trip. Instead, we went to lunch and then caught a boat ride around the bay.
And the wind kept us snuggled close!
We braved the outer deck for awhile but it finally became too much for us.
It was fun inside, too, and we learned quite a bit.
Then we climbed aboard the Link and rode up to the U District for some Husky football!
We definitely sported our gear and were just 4 in a sea of over 72,000.
Even though we showed up, our team did not and USC won. However, we enjoyed the pre-game festivities, the new gear, and some time brainwashing our children in a proper football allegiance.
As ever, Go Dawgs!

  1. So much purple!! Love that you took the kids on the Sound to see Seattle from the water.
