End of April

Lots of activity in the end of April!
Mitch got to go on a field trip with the highly capable group earlier in the month. They went to the Mobius Science Center in Spokane and it was a big hit! Here he is with his friend Avery.
Baseball is underway for both kids. There will be more posts about this later (or maybe one big one). For now, we are enjoying having Bryan help coach and the chance to play lots of positions. He is doing well at catcher - just like his grandpas!
We have our very own prom tree! I planted this non-fruiting crabapple in the spring of 2018. This is the first of what I intend to be yearly photos. Not glamorous, but it will be fun to see how the kids and the tree grow!
Finally, we had to move Grampa into memory care for his safety and Grama's sanity. This is his room with a view of Mission Ridge. He is still in there and we get glimpses. Grama is caring for him beautifully.

Easter

We celebrated Easter on Greenbluff this year!
Saturday afternoon we arrived and colored eggs.
Sue and Gram made desserts in abundance and we enjoyed a casual evening.
Easter morning broke sunny and beautiful. Mitchell's glider from the bunny broke, too, but Steve and Grampa fixed it up.
 Good as new!
Shan's glider flying skills were impressive!
After church, the egg hunt was on!
These two found a few eggs, ate their contents, and then "hid" them again.
Hot on the trail! Shan loves hunting for eggs!
We loved the weather!
Grama played a lot of pool with Mitch when her attentions were not otherwise claimed.

While the meal was being prepped, there was an admin meeting in the garage...
Shan loved her new watch from the bunny and was asked about 20 times what time it was. Steve's kids came over and joined for appetizers and a lovely meal.
Mitch and Grampa enjoyed perfecting the launch of Mitchell's water rocket.
A lovely Easter together! He is risen indeed.

Friends

Our neighborhood is changing as some beloved neighbors are moving to town.
Mitch, Maddax and Andy will continue to be friends and will need to be more intentional about making time for each other. Oh, the breaking hearts!

Spring Break

We had a delightful spring break around here!
We started with a baseball game in Moses, watching Brody play for Walla Walla. He's a good sport!
There was a lot of yard work and dental visits, as well as baseball practice and camps, but we also got some major play time in. The boys schemed on Nerf purchases together.
They had some water warring when the cousins were here and the weather cooperated beautifully!
The girls thought carefully, and then decided to suit up and get in on the action!
On Friday, Mitch got to go paintballing for Andy's birthday in the Tri-Cities while we worked at cleaning Johnsons' yard and garage.
Then we all went to Spokane - the kids with cousins for a sleepover and Bryan and I joined co-workers for a comedy show and piano bar outing. It was fun!
Saturday we reclaimed our offspring and returned home for a couple more days of play and yard work. Now we have 4th quarter and the busiest sports season between us and summer - we can do it!
