Watson Wedding

We spent the weekend in Prosser for Kourtney and Devin's wedding. The weather was beautiful and we enjoyed some time together before the ceremonies.
Kourt was a beautiful bride and Devin rocked the man bun...
Shan was delighted to be the flower girl. She took her role very seriously and loved wearing her fancy clothes.
She even had her hair curled for the first time!
Mitch stepped up to his role as ring bearer, too.
He loves the bat he was gifted!
Playing with the Davis kids was a major highlight!
During the reception, when pictures were finally over and the clothes didn't need to be protected anymore, Mitch was ready to play ball.
He found Thlyer - his catcher - and played a pick-up game with other kiddos.
Good looking guys. This is Mitch being "cool"!
Fun wedding with nice families!

A Day of Water Play

What a wild weather day!! This morning there was a deluge and Lake Ratigan filled up quickly. Grampa got out the kayaks and Shannon was first to climb aboard.
When they started, the rain was still coming down hard.
Didn't slow down the glee, though!
Soon, Mitch was out to join his sister in navigating the lake. Grampa stayed on hand to be the tugboat if they ran into a "sandbar".
Tongue of concentration in play, yet again!
It was impressive! Note the depth on Grampa's legs.
This afternoon we went to Plain for the Pobst reunion. The pond was fun with paddle board. Mitch and Shannon took turns captaining.
Shannon did fall in, but didn't mind one bit.
Beautiful and fun afternoon!

Independence Day!

We celebrated the Fourth with Hermiston and Stanfield friends today!
Shannon and I went with the Warners to the Stanfield parade. The girls were decked out in their patriotic finery!
We joined Brooklin, Molly, Brady and other friends, as well as the Johnson grandparents, along the parade route.
Bryan and his team were the grand marshals of the parade, riding at the front in their state championship glory!
The batboy enjoyed throwing candy and being with his guys once more.
What a sweet memory for him!
Lorry and the Watsons were in the parade, too, and Shan got a hug. We enjoyed the festivities in the park, Bryan helped judge the pie, and we visited with lots of folks. Then we joined Warners, Bacons and others for a picnic in the park in Hermiston, along with water fights and volleyball. It was a quintessential American Independence celebration that tugged on our heart strings and made us grateful for friends.
