Birthday Candles!

We had a lovely long weekend that involved visits from the Allstots. As usual, we had projects lined up for my dad. He and Bryan did some work on the pergola, tiled the garage shower, and installed more ceiling fans. We also got to celebrate my Grama Sally's birthday. She's an amazing woman and we had a wonderful visit.
Shannon worked on some acrobatics with her Great Grama Sally! Perhaps she'll want to join her Gram in some future skydiving . . .
 Mitch was a candle-blowing-out thief!
Good thing his Gram doesn't mind sharing.
And they extinguish the final flame! Happy birthday, Gram!!!!
We love you!!!

Game Day

Bryan's team wasn't supposed to be very good this year. They graduated 8 seniors after their state title season last year, so this season has been a rebuilding year. That said, they won the first round of state on Wednesday and are traveling to face arguably the best team in their bracket this afternoon. I'm proud of my coach husband - and ready for the season to conclude (with a win, of course!)!
 Up, up, and away!
Always a fan of her son, Vicki came for Wednesday's game!

Bloomin' Kids

A schmo-arty shot of one of my favorite roses.
Here's another favorite flower!
This one moves more than the pink one . . .
Sometimes she's so content!
Mitch is learning how to make "cheesy" smiles for the camera. It's hard to tell from this photo, but he has received a hair cut (and subsequently seems much shorter!).
She's trying to crawl. If this were a video, there would be rocking back and forth. Soon we'll have a mobile baby!

Mother's Day 2012

Shannon helped celebrate our first mother's day together with her usual smiles and drool.
Our sweet little girl is running a fever due to the vaccines she received on Thursday. She weighed in at 16lbs 15oz, 26 inches tall. Not too shabby!
Super Mitchell flew in for a brief photo op. He has worlds to save, after all.
A quick smooch for Mom, and he was off, leaping buildings in a single bound and all that jazz.

Silly Kid!

Mitch has been a handful lately!
The other day I was doing something - probably feeding his sister - when I realized it had gotten suspiciously quiet. Mitch was in the bathroom putting on some make-up! He says, "Now I look beautiful!"
Here he is mid-flight into a mound of blankets. When he landed, he proceeded to make snow angels. Another recent favorite activity includes streaking through the yard wearing just his rubber boots!
Shannon continues to be his biggest fan!

6 Months Old Already!

Miss Sparkle Eyes has lived her first half year in the world!
At this age, she continues to be a smiley, cheerful child. She wants to be held almost always, is desperate to stand, crawl, and eat paper, and would watch Mitchell all day if given the opportunity. Her sleeping habits are better than her brother's at this age, but still leave her parents tired. She is a very messy eater, covering her face, arms, shirt, and hair with cereal each time she eats. She squawks at top volume, yanks fistfuls of Poly's fur, and drools like a professional. We love this bright-eyed girl!
