Cousins!

We've seen lots of family lately, and the next generation is expanding!
Here are the new girl cousins - Avery and Shannon. They were chatting very nicely with me.
The Johnson grandkids with their Grandma and Grandpa Johnson.
Great Grampa and Great Grama Pobst with their 3 greats: Miles, Mitch and Shannon.

Merry Christmas!

Here's our first photo of the four of us! We're off to the Christmas Eve service. Mitch was a well-behaved little guy and even held his own burning candle during Silent Night!
The Christmas Eve spread was arranged by the grandmothers.
Great Grampa and Shannon share some smiles.
Napping is preferred when there's a warm body with whom to share it. Grampa Allstot was willing to oblige!
Christmas morning was full of family and gifts. Mitchell's loudest present was his new chainsaw!
A Christmas miracle - Shannon's first bottle! She kept her eyes on her Daddy the whole time.

Visons of Sugar-plums

The children were nestled all snug in their beds,
While visions of sugar-plums danced in their heads

Grumpy Santa

The classic Santa photo, replete with a somber son, sleeping daughter and the un-jolliest old elf you ever did see.
We will not return to this Santa's workshop. Seriously, would it hurt to crinkle your eyes to appear smiling? Could you wear real boots? What's with the white gloves - they'd never stay clean going up and down chimneys. Don't even get me started on faux beards . . .

Ugly Sweater Day

Christmas vacation has arrived in our household, and it was ushered in with Ugly Sweater Day at school.
Bryan and a co-worker were sporting some very ugly, very (formerly) feminine sweaters.

Christmas Lights

We went for a Christmas light walk at the fairgrounds Sunday night. Mitch loved it!
The beginning of the walk has a big wreath and tunnel of lights. We walked through this section about 10 times, per the "request" of our son.

Happy and cold!

One Month Old!

Shannon is one month old today, and what a month it's been!
She is her own little person, the Queen of Grunts, a flesh dumpling, and a favorite little squirming bundle around here. Mitch loves to hold her, give her kisses, and provide attention when it's needed. When he hears her crying, he runs to her saying, "Shannon, you need me?" This girl does not like to sleep without being held, but will sometimes be tricked into doing so if she's on her stomach. She is getting more alert all the time and stares out at the world with her big blue eyes. Her hair continues to be an unknown as it's very light in color. We're eager to see what the next month will bring!

Who Is This Child?

There is something familiar about these photos . . .
All are related. Can you tell who is who?
