PDX

Mitch and I went to Portland for a long weekend. We stayed with Auntie Nina and got to see Amy, Alisa, and Lucas, Sara & Netti Bean. It was hotter than blazes and the evenings brought loud "music" from neighbors and a possessed band in the throws of exorcism. Mitch slept through it all - even a passing marching band during his nap! We went to a grand farmers' market at PSU, spent lots of time at the park and enjoyed our urban sojourn.

Mitch and Netti do some urban swimming.

He's part monkey, climbing on everything!

Mitch and Nina at the top of the slide . . .

. . . and happily at the bottom!

First Steps

Mitch has begun taking some unassisted steps, though he still needs help getting into position. Last night Bryan got him going in earnest!

Vacation Week

We spent the past week plus visiting family and friends in Ephrata and Spokane. It was lovely, though not a relaxing vacation!
Mitch and Haylee are 3 months apart. Haylee is a petite charmer with cute blonde curls. Mitch will be the burly cousin!
We went to SplashZone with the Johnson/LaVine family. Mitch actually enjoyed being in the water.

Jack had a wonderful time on the frog waterslide!

We also went to Lake Chelan for an afternoon. Here's Mitch devouring pretzels. Once again, he enjoyed the water.

We ended our tour of the northwest with a stay at Greenbluff to visit Sue and Steve. Bryan and Mitch drove around on the tractor, much to the little man's delight.

11 Months . . .

Eleven months old and into everything!
Dirt is a favorite entree!

Swimming - Sort Of

We got Mitch a little pool to splash around it and he had his first experience with it the other day. The water was so cold we had to boil some and pour it in!
No cause for alarm - we had a competent albeit furry lifeguard on duty.

Less than impressed with his swimming duds, Mitch will not smile.

Ooh - I can splash to my heart's content!

This is as in as he went.

Summer Shots

Here are a few random photos from the past couple weeks,
starring Mitchell, of course!Mitch got to meet his great aunt Dianne and great uncle Bob. They came for a brief visit during a road trip vacation from their home in Arizona. Bob married Bryan and me four years ago and it was certainly special to have them come over!

Yep, he's wearing my shoes and hunting for Easter eggs. Shortly after the photo, he tripped and hit his head on the closet door resulting in a Harry Potter-esqe bruise.

You can see one of his 3 teeth in this one.
The other two are on the top.

He's probably grinning because he just threw his plate full of food on to the floor!

A tired pout to end it. Don't know where he gets his pout genes . . .
