End of Vacation

Alas, spring break has come and gone. Mitch is nearly healthy again, too. Nina has been here for a few days and will be watching the bambino as we go back to work tomorrow so Mitch gets some Auntie Nina time!
Here he is snoozing with his bear.

First home baseball game! It was a win, of course.

Watching ball together.

Story time comes complete with character voices from Dad. Mitch was enthralled.

Nina got him in a sleeper hold - peace at last!

Under Construction

We are in the process of putting a patio and pergola in our backyard.
Here's the series of photos so far:
This is the "before" shot. Bryan then tore out the sod.

Sod's out, planter relocated, and holes are dug around the sprinkler heads.

Dad arrived with a design and he and Bryan went to work.
They set the posts, built the pergola . . .

. . . redirected the sprinklers and pipes, stained the wood, brought in sand and leveled it . . .

. . . and here we are so far. Still to come are the pavers (seen in piles), the plants, the furniture and the outdoor relaxing!

Spring Break Indeed

We had grand plans for spring break this year.
So did Mitch, apparently.
One ear infection, a viral chest cold, sleepless tear-filled nights, and copious amounts of snot later, we have our vacation. The shiny spots in the face above are dried snot. Yep. Gross. One very unhappy baby.

Still, Mitch got some time with power tools and Grampa Allstot!
Very popular, indeed!

And here he is recharging his batteries. What do you mean babies shouldn't play with power cords?

Pi Day

Ever on the go, Mitch is trying to dive off the couch here.

Great weather means more walks! This is the inaugural stroller ride facing forward. He was asleep in 5 minutes!

And his alter ego, Captain Destructo, reins supreme in the bedroom!

Salem with the Allstots

Mitch got to visit his uncle Russ and aunt Laci this weekend. We had a great time seeing their place, walking the dog, enjoying the beautiful weather, and hanging out.
Mitch hitches a ride with Laci.

Russ and Mitch each sporting Carharts. Mitch thinks his uncle is hilarious!

Mmmm. Carrots!

A fierce mother bear.

And the drive home. The first half looked like this in the backseat. The second half was screaming and waterworks. Not as cute!

7 Months Old!

Mitch is in the Willamette Valley enjoying the onset of spring over on the west side. Yesterday he spent some time with a pair of Pio Aunties - Nina and Amy. He also got to see Nettie & Sara. Hi, Nettie!
Mitch and Nina rode the tram at OHSU while I visited a student at Doernbecher. They had a great time together!

Amy got some loves from Mitch after a lovely Thai lunch. He tried to eat her hair, pull off her glasses, and give her a dental exam all in the span of about 3 minutes!

At Nina's, Mitch checked himself out in the mirror. Here's a little Elvis grin at his handsome reflection.

In like a Lion

Can't believe it's March already!
Here it comes in like a lion (or a "tigger" in this case)!

All smiles and drool for his dad
