Johnson Family Christmas

We have spent the past several days with the Johnson family celebrating Christmas and some time together.
Mitch and Haylee enjoyed hanging out together. Mitch loves this Bumbo seat that lets him join Haylee sitting up.

A very tired Santa's helper. It's hard work holding up these cheeks.

Grandma Johnson enjoying her grandkids.

Jack loved giving and receiving this year. Here are the LaVines amidst the post-gift chaos.

Rachel is excited to be home since she was in New Zealand last year.

Who? Moi?

Chad and Bryan sporting their fabulous flannel pants. Much laughter ensued when these were opened.

Going Hunting

Grampa Allstot is teaching Mitchell some survival skills. Here they were hunting for dinner.
Yep, Mitch shot me . . .

Unfortunately, Mitch put the bullets in his mouth and they got waterlogged. That ended the hunting lesson for the day, much to the cat's relief!

Sleepless in Hermiston

Naps? Who needs them? Today has been one for the books and it just keeps going. Our little man refuses to sleep, fights it like a tiger in fact! Longest nap today was 30 minutes. He's super tired and yet will not give in to Queen Mab and her dream land!
It's a good thing he's cute . . .
Rubber duckie du jour.

A rare grin today. This must have come just before he peed all over the bedding . . .

This was the face of determination. He was very focused on this toy and it kept him happy for almost a half an hour.

Doctor's Visit

Mitchell had a doctor's appointment yesterday for his 4 month well baby visit. Both parents got to attend thanks to the icy road conditions that resulted in cancelled school. Here are his latest stats:
17 lbs 15 oz
26.75 inches long
If only he'd eaten before we went, we could have tipped the scale at over 18lbs!

He continues to be a healthy and happy little guy, although the vaccine shots have made for a cranky baby with a sore leg.

Nina and Mitch

Nina is here visiting. She and Mitchell are getting lots done . . .
Crossword puzzles . . .

Watching the snow . . .

. . . and reading Twilight. Such busy buddies!

4 Months Old

Mitch is rocking his 4 month mark! In celebration, he is working on rolling. He can now roll over from his back to his stomach like no one's business. He really began mastering this new skill at his Great Aunt Sue's this Friday. A few times he has strung together a series of rolls, but that isn't his norm yet.

Here he is napping with Great Uncle Steve.
It's a lot of work entertaining the masses!

Go Zags!

We're all set for the game tonight against WSU,
Bryan's alma mater. If that doesn't hurt a dyed-in-the-wool husky, I don't know what does! Go Zags!
