Russ had his surgeries in Salem on the 20th. We spent the whole day in the hospital, and the medical team did solid work. We were supported by prayers from family and friends, copious amounts of cookies and snacks, and were delighted when, just before 10:20pm, Dr. Collada emerged with the good news! Russ didn't have to go to the ICU, and was doing so well the next morning that I drove back home. He was home by the 23rd and walking around the block on Christmas Day. Thanks be to God!
