We had visitors today! At breakfast on the back porch, there were two owls in the tree house tree! I was SO excited it was hard to leave for church.
When we came back, there were 4 owls - 3 immatures and one mama. We think they are Great Horned owls based on their shape and call.
These cuties stayed in the tree ALL DAY! Even snuggling for some charming PR.

Shannon got their names from her library book, Owl Babies.
We enjoyed watching them immensely. Ultimately they climbed higher in the tree, but they remained until 8pm before flying off to hunt. The next morning, I found 3 pellets and a dead mouse beneath their perch. Keep killing those rodents!
