Today is Shannon's first birthday! We are blessed to have this happy, willful, lovable little girl in our family!
Shannon is such a character. She squeals with delight, yells in anger, wants anything Mitch has, eats like a goat, enjoys dirt above all, knocks over towers with reckless abandon, and knows no fear.
Shannon likes to swing, and is very vocal about it. She snuggles when sleepy, and has begun to sleep alone through most of the night. Woohoo!!!
Today we had a birthday party with lots of family and friends. Shannon loved her cupcake and wasted no time eating - and smearing - the frosting. We'll do a post about the party later.

I really can't believe that a year ago, we made the trek down to meet her! Time flies (well, kind of). Shannon is so sweet and cute! Can't wait to spend more time with her very soon! Thanks for having us today, and for the fun goody bags for the kids. You guys are great!
ReplyDeleteIt was so fun to share in Shannon's 1st birthday party! Loved seeing her just doing automatically what belongs at a 1st birthday party. Shrieking for joy, tearing into the presents and immediately playing with them, delving into the chocolate birthday cupcake -- never a dull moment!
